The wine list at the Auberge reflects our overall principle of sourcing only organically, often biodynamically grown produce and, in the case of wines, vinified with minimal or zero chemical intervention, often referred to as natural wines. As well as a good selection of wines from throughout France and beyond, we have a rich cross-section of local Auvergne wines produced by our vigneron friends. All have their own distinctive style of wine-making and guests can be guided through the many options to help match wines to the ‘menu du jour’.
There is also organic sparkling cider & ‘poiré’ (perry) made from apples and pears from our trees as well as artisanal organic beers from the Auvergne and elsewhere. If spirits are more your thing we have our own ‘Chassignolles Gin’ infused with Gentiane root and created for us in Bristol by our friends at Psychopomp Microdistillery - great with tonic of course and particularly good in our house Negroni!
